I was an outgoing child, full of life and playing lots of sports. My mom raised me well but I hardly knew my dad. When I was nine, my parents’ divorce started me on the road to rebellion. I was put on all kinds of medications to calm the anger and pain inside me, but they did little good. As a young adult, I quickly moved into the drug scene to escape reality. Selling and using drugs and burglarizing homes and businesses became my lifestyle. I was living on the streets sleeping behind dumpsters and park benches.

Before long, I was in jail, strung out on crystal meth and cocaine weighing only 100 pounds. My addiction stained eyes were filled with fear, doubt, and hatred. In desperation, I cried out to God to come into my heart and change my life. Realizing all the people that I had hurt and the relationships I had destroyed, I ask God for another chance and he didn’t disappoint.

The Lord touched me deeply with His presence. I saw life from a whole new perspective as He replaced the anger and fear with His love. I had been radically set free. He told me that He was the one who healed my heart, mind, and body, and He was restoring my family. I began to reach out with the love of Jesus to the others around me in jail.

After leaving jail, I went through a 12-month drug rehab program at Minnesota Teen Challenge where God challenged me to live right, pray, read my Bible, and study His Word.

Then I attended a 2-year ministry school, graduating with a degree in Biblical Studies and Christian Leadership.

Since 2006, I have ministered in jails, drug rehab centers, prisons, psychiatric wards, and people’s homes. I’ve witnessed all over America including the streets of New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, New Orleans, and Cheyenne, Wyoming to name a few.

In 2006, God gave me a vision for Let’s Go Ministry where we specialize in street ministry, going where God leads us and training others out on the streets. God reaches us and deals with each one of us in a unique way. As we do, many other doors of ministry open.

The world has lied to me so many times that I’ve stopped asking it for answers. The paradox of faith is that when we stop rummaging around for answers the world offers, love and peace can find us. When I talk about forgiveness, I talk about it in the context of someone who needs to be forgiven. I’ve hurt so many people that God’s promise of forgiveness is dear to me.

I grew up in a loving but dysfunctional family in Maryland. I was the oldest of three siblings. My mother became pregnant with me before she married at the age of 19. She divorced my father when I was one, and remarried her second husband who became the father of my brother. Shortly after, her second husband died. Her third marriage lasted just a short time and her fourth husband was the father of my sister.
