Wherever You Go

Joshua 1:8-9 (NLT) Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. 9 This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

I met a guy recently who developed a deep hunger for the word of God. So much, that he dedicated 13 days to read it from front to back. He mentioned how he was tired of getting snippets of the word and felt there was more to know. He realized that God wanted to speak to him directly.

Over 14 years ago, I had a similar experience. On a cold jail cell floor. The love of God blasted me through reading the word of God. Then He spoke to me directly and specifically. “Jed, stop stealing and living for yourself. Work hard with your hands and give generously to others in need”. Then I was reminded of the scripture spoken over me when I was dedicated to the Lord in 1981. “This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

The Holy Spirit led me to share his with you today. God wants to speak to you directly. His call on your life is real and it is so good. Have you considered why you have been blessed in the way you have been blessed? Have you asked God what He wants you to do next? Are you listening for His response? The funny thing is, many of these questions can be answered by looking at what you have in your hands right now today.

The one thing I know for sure, is that God commanded me to be strong and to be courageous and pursue Him with everything I possess. Through my own personal relationship with God, He has revealed my personal calling. To be a preacher of the Gospel – to love God and to love other people. In the streets, marketplaces and within the church. Everywhere really! Something I cannot shake. When He opens a door, I walk through it in obedience. I love because He loved me first. I give, because He gave to me first. I preach, because He first preached to me.

Man has tried to persuade me into other things. I have fallen in my faith at times, but only because I took my eyes off of Jesus.

I believe we are in a time, where God is rekindling the fire He has placed inside of us from birth. He is birthing new things through us to the world around us. He has called us to magnify His name! For the right things. For the right places. For the right reason. We are successful in life through obeying what God is calling us to do today.

Will you pray with me and believe with me for a rekindling of God’s fire within us. I am forever grateful for our ministry friends and support team for making this ministry a reality. We are able to share the Gospel through speaking ministry, giving generously to people in need and encouraging the body of Christ to answer the call of God today. Not tomorrow. (Pictures are from preaching the word, inside the church and in the streets)

You are blessed. You have favor. No matter the opposition. Be strong and of good courage, the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Amen. (Visit updated website by clicking here.)
